MicroService Architecture in Development world

MicroService Architecture
MicroService Architecture

To understand the importance of microservice, we need to understand about monolithic architecture. The traditional way of building applications through the internet. It is the traditional unified model for the design of a software program. Monolithic means composed all in one piece.

Monolithic Architecture

We can define Monolithic software as “Way of maintaining all the services that are offered by an application in a single resource or as a single package”. So it’s stored in the same server and database. Because of that, the development team should be larger in size for applying the changes in the product in any of the services. To reduce the complication, developers select a single technology all over to ease the task of development. When their users are growing, they need to scale their servers and database in a short time and it goes on according to the requirement. Monolithic architecture is generally followed by almost every organization before introduction of microservices.

Micro Service Architecture

Microservice architecture, It is a different form of the service-oriented architecture (SOA) structural style. In SOA, it arranges an application as a collection of loosely coupled services. In microservices architecture, the protocols are lightweight and services are fine-grained. In other words, Here applications, build as a collection of multiple independent services which are loosely coupled. Each module, scalable customer-focused services with specific business goals, and independently versioned. Each module communicate with each other over standard protocols with well-defined interfaces. As they are independently deployable and scalable, The team size of developers is very less (5-10), So that deployment is very fast. There is no need of working with a single technology for the entire application as like of monolithic kernel. Various technologies can be used to build the application and it makes developers comfortably work as their interest.

Microservice helps you to develop a scalable and flexible software. Because of all these reasons microservice architecture has an important role in development world.

The Spring framework which is a Java framework, is great for a microservices architecture because it enables almost trivial creation of fully functional applications that don’t deviate from a model of programming .
